An appellate court ruled for music producer Dr Luke on Thursday on an important legal question in his defamation suit against pop star Kesha, saying the Grammy-nominated hitmaker isn t a public figure in the eyes of the law.
The decision isn t a final judgment in the long-running court clash between the multiplatinum-selling singer, who says Dr Luke raped her, and the producer, who denies it and says his one-time protege smeared him with lies.

FDA approves GSK drug for endometrial cancer with specific genetic signature
The FDA approved GlaxoSmithKlie drug dostarlimab (Jemperli) for endometrial cancer that carries a particular genetic signature. The immunotherapy now joins Merck s Keytruda as the checkpoint inhibitors approved for treating endometrial cancer.

A drug that GlaxoSmithKline acquired as part of a $5 billion deal now has FDA approval, making it the second immunotherapy of this type approved for endometrial cancer and the first for such cancers carrying a particular genetic signature.
The Thursday regulatory decision for dostarlimab covers patients with recurrent or advanced endometrial cancer that has progressed following an initial line of treatment with chemotherapy. Those cancers must have mismatch repair deficiency (dMMR), in which mutations affect the proper repair of DNA inside a cell. CADILLAC â The following are arraignments, pleas or sentences occurring in 28th Circuit Court in Wexford County on the date of April 19:
⢠Dean Luther Chandler II, 30, of Cadillac was sentenced to 300 days in jail with 125 days credit for a guilty plea to a probation violation stemming from a previous conviction to possession of methamphetamine.
⢠Stephanie Ann Jones, 35, of Kingsley pleaded guilty to one count of possession of methamphetamine for his connection with an incident on Dec. 9 in Cadillac. As part of the plea, possession of amphetamine less than 25 grams and a habitual offender second offense will be dismissed at sentencing. As part of the sentencing agreement, Jones will be sentenced under Section 7411 of the public health code, if qualified, as long as the defendant remains compliant on bond.
